Strawberry Sangria

Strawberry Sangria

When you’ve outgrown strawberry daiquiris or don’t want to haul out the blender for the cookout, try this refreshing strawberry cocktail alternative. A pint of strawberries picked at the Strawberry Festival in Mattituck and a stop at a local vineyard for some North Fork Rose will make up the only party kit you’ll need for summer fun. Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 Bottle (750 ml) of Rosé wine
1/4 cup of simple syrup
juice of two whole oranges
1 cup sliced strawberries
2 cups of Pelligrino’s Aranciata soda or other natural orange soda

Preparation:

Pour wine in the pitcher and add sliced strawberries. Next add simple syrup, orange juice and stir gently. Add Arancini and ice just before serving. If you’d like to serve your Sangria right away, use chilled wine and chilled Aranciata- serve over lots of ice.
