Cocktail of the week: The Bachelorette with Leblon Cachaca

Every year I learn something new from the scores of bachelorette parties that come to Greenport. Beautiful women from all backgrounds accompany their celebrated bride-to-be. They cause a stir as they walk into the restaurant in their flirty outfits complete with bachelorette props that I’ll leave to your imagination.

This cocktail is in honor of a special bachelorette and her friends as it represents a few elements of her life: Passion for love and life, tradition and a fresh new attitude. The Bachelorette is made with fresh pureed strawberries and guava nectar drizzled into a glass of sparkling wine with a shot of sexy Brazilian Cachaca from Leblon.



The Bachelorette

Ingredients:
Leblon Cachaca
ice
Champagne
Strawberry-Guava Coulis

Preparation: Pour one shot of Leblon Cachaca into a mixing glass packed with ice
Pour one shot of strawberry-guava coulis* see below for recipe
Shake and strain into a champagne glass and top off with some dry champagne*
*champagne should always be poured in last and not shaken.

Strawberry-Guava coulis
Core 1 cup of fresh strawberries and rough chop
Add to blender with 1 cup of Guava nectar and puree until velvety
pour into a squeeze bottle
