Summer barbeque with Long Island Rosé Wines, Perfect for Father’s Day

June 16th, 2010 · No Comments · Dinner, Holiday, Lunch, Summer Recipes, Wine

If you are entertaining for Father’s day, think about a meal that you can make in advance and enjoy your company. Some nice disposable bamboo plates and some fresh cut herbs in small vases will make for a beautiful family table.

and ask some family members to bring some of their favorite dishes to compliment the table.
A magnum of Corey Creek’s Rosé wine, will impress your guests and keep you happy all day!

If you don’t feel like cooking, we’re making these dishes along with many others this Thursday, June 17th for the 2nd Annual Rosé Festival poolside of The Greenporter Hotel to benefit the East End Student Film Project.

Eleven vineyards from the North Fork are pouring their rosé wines along with a buffet of savory hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $35 and are a great father’s day gift.

So start your shopping list and stop by Corey Creek Vineyards for your Magnum of Rose and stay tuned for the recipes.

Shopping list

For beef skewers: 3 lbs of flank steak, one small jar crunchy peanut butter, one can of unsweetend coconut milk, small honey bear, small bottle of soy sauce, EVOO, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and bamboo skewers.

For grilled corn and black bean salsa: 6 ears of fresh corn, 1 can of Goya black beans (or one cup of dried black beans soaked overnight — recipe in next posting), 1 small red onion, two jalapeno peppers, 1 tablespoon of fresh cilantro, 1 red pepper and one green pepper.
